Our Work

Our Work

TASC works with a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure that U.S. trade and international economic policies stimulate growth and poverty reduction in the poorest countries. We believe that collaboration with diverse allies is essential to long-term progress.

Our activities are as follows:

Ø        Develop and manage a program of structured dialogue and briefings on trade and global poverty through ongoing engagement with NGOs, government officials, academics, business executives and other opinion leaders;

Ø        Build trust and create effective alliances between unconventional partners such as anti-poverty NGOs and businesses;

Ø        Promote the voices of under-represented stakeholders from developing countries;

Ø       Bring leading scholars and practitioners in the trade and anti-poverty fields together with leaders from the political world to formulate innovative policy ideas grounded in research;

Ø        Make  available cutting-edge  findings, knowledge and ideas on trade and global poverty issues to a wide  array  of civil society organizations  and government officials through a monthly roundtable series;

Ø        Develop  written  materials  prepared  in  a  clear and  succinct manner in order to deliver policy messages  on trade and poverty to busy opinion leaders;

Ø        Provide advice and assistance to other organizations engaged in activities to reduce global poverty.
